Wolverine Redesign

John Byrne didn't like the yellow and blue color scheme of Wolverine's costume, so he designed the classic brown version seen here.

  1. I personaly prefer the brown and gold costume myself, I find the yellow and blue somewhat guady, but I hated when everyone just wore black leather- I mean, come on, I want to see SOME flash...but can't go wrong with some jeans and wife beater

  2. This is my favorite version of Wolverine, even the chunky weight belt just seems perfect for the look. Byyne knew how to make characters look their best for sure.

I always thought the giant belt was a bit ridiculous but definitely prefer the brown costume to the bright yellow and blue. Brown seems more in keeping with the character

  4. When Jim Lee swapped out the big goof buckle for the simple black "X" logo while still retaining the thick red belt...the look was streamlined and perfected.
