Operation: Zero Tolerance
All apologies for the image quality, but this is the best version I could find of the Operation: Zero Tolerance promo by Carlos Pacheco. I don't think Cecilia Reyes ever wore this face mask in the comics.
Yeah, I remember seeing this in Wizard and wondering why Cecelia never wore a mask outside this promo (It's just as well, I think it looks stupid).
And man, I remember the hype around Cecelia, Maggot, and Marrow joining the team and how quickly people stopped caring for them. You'd think it was Giant Size X-Men #1 status the way Marvel was talking about them.
I remember this promo. Nothing like that even remotely happened during OZT. Half the characters in that image, including Maggot, were off in (what was eventually revealed to be) Antarctica for the Trial of Gambit storyline.
