The Former X-Men

This parody of X-Men #142 was printed in Spider-Woman #36 without explanation.  The art is by Jim Salicrup and inked by Terry Austin, who did the original cover for #142.

The X-Men Vs. The Avengers

I suspect that this image - found in a Spanish poster magazine, was intended to be a cover for The X-Men Vs. The Avengers issue #2.  The concept mirrors the cover used for that issue.  Perhaps it was too similar to the cover for issue #1, or the editors might have felt that the closeup of Magneto's head was a more powerful image.  Either way, I'm excited to see Marc Silvestri X-Men art of this vintage.

First Frost

Any Adam Hughes art gets preferential treatment around here, including this Emma Frost painting.

Os Filhos Do Atomo

This promo image for X-Men: Children of the Atom is slightly different from the American version, which was used as the cover to issue 4.
